An ‘At Home’ function was organised on 04 Dec 21 at National Hydrographic Office, Dehradun, as a part of Navy week celebrations. The Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh PVSM, AVSM, UYSM, VSM(Retd) was the Chief Guest for the function. The Chief Minister, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami was also present on the occasion.

The Governor released the ‘Indian Maritime Safety and Security Chart, Edition 3’ and ‘Indian List of Radio Signals, Volume V’ during the function. The Governor and Chief Minister were briefed on the capabilities of the Indian Navy and the Hydrographic Department. The Governor said that the stories of Indian Navy’s efficiency and capabilities would inspire countless youngsters to serve the country with zeal and passion.

The Chief Hydrographer, Vice Admiral Adhir Arora, DG Police Uttarakhand Ashok Kumar and GOC Sub Area Major General Sanjeev Khatri were among the other officers present along with eminent retired Naval Officers including Vice Admiral Vasant Koppikar (Retd), Vice Admiral AG Thapliyal (Retd).
