Shri Narendra Kumar presently Member(RM),Central water Commission,Delhi and holding additional charge as as Executive Member, Narmada Control Authority(NCA) get extension of the additional charge as Executive Member, Narmada Control Authority(NCA) for a further period of 06 months.
Shri Narendra Kumar, Member (RM), Central Water Commission has done Graduation in Civil Engineering and Post-Graduation in Structural Engineering with Hons and joined Central Water Engineering (CWE) Group-A Service (Central Water Commission) on 4th of June 1981.
He has worked in various capacities in CWC as Assistant Director in Design Organisation, as Deputy Director in Project Appraisal Directorate and as Director in Dam Safety Organisation & Project Monitoring Directorate. He worked as Senior Joint Commissioner in CAD Wing of MoWR, RD & GR during 2002 to 2005. During 2009 to 2011, he has worked as Chief Engineer, Brahmaputra & Barak Basin, Shillong. Further he performed his duties as Commissioner of B&B Wing of MoWR, RD & GR during 2011 to 2014. .During his illustrious career, he has participated in various international training programme and in committees at UNESCO-IHE Delft Netherland, London, Beijing, Bhutan etc. He has taken over as Member (River Management) of Central Water Commission from October 2014.
