Modi to distribute certificates to beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public meeting at Shahanshahpur village on the second and last day of his two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi. Mr Modi will participate in a sanitation related activity in the village and will also visit a cattle wellness fair.
The Prime Minister will distribute certificates to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana during the function.
Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Minister of State for Rural Development Mahendra Singh and BJP State Unit President Mahendra Nath Pandey will also be present during the function.
Our correspondent covering the PM’s visit to Varanasi reports that Mr. Modi concluded his first day’s hectic schedule releasing a stamp on Ramayan at famous Satya Narayan Tulsi Manas temple.Addressing the gathering, Mr Modi said that stamps have a special place in society and play wonderful roll to preserve history.
The Prime Minister also spoke about how the life and ideals of Lord Rama continue to inspire everyone. Mr. Modi also later visited the Durga Mata Temple, and Durga Kund. Earlier, Prime Minister dedicated to the nation, the Deendayal Hastkala Sankul – a trade facilitation centre for handicrafts.
The Prime Minister had laid the foundation stone of this Centre in November 2014. He also flagged off the Mahamana Express through a video link. This train will connect Varanasi with Surat and Vadodara in Gujarat. He also inaugurated 25 projects during the function including two bridges on the river Ganga at Samne and Balua ghats.
