MoD | Induction Rally for Selecting Sports Cadets Equestrian for Boys Sports Company , RVC Centre & College, Meerut

PIB News Update: 1.An open selection rally to select suitable Boys Sports Cadets for Equestrian discipline will be conducted on 13 Apr 2021 from 0700hrs onwards at RVC Centre and College, Meerut Cantt.

2.       Eligibility:-

(a)     Age                       –        Candidates will be in age group of 08-                                                 14 yrs as on 13 Apr 2021 (Boys born                                                             between 13 Apr 2007 and 13 Apr 2013                                                     inclusive of both dates).

(b)     Education             –        Minimum Class-4^th std     Passedwith                                                  adequate knowledge of English and Hindi.

(c)     Medical fitness     –        Will be ascertained by Medical Officer                                                          and Specialist of Army Sports Medicine                                                         Centre.

(d)     Candidates bearing any type of permanent TATTOO on any       part    of their body will NOT be selected.

(e)     X-Ray of the wrist will be conducted for age verification in doubtful      cases (Bone marrow test).

3.       Desirous candidates will bring following documents: –

1.      Birth Certificate (issued by Registrar of Births and Deaths)
2.      Aadhar Card.
3.      Residential/ Domicile Certificate issued by Tehsildar/SDM/DM.
4.      School Certificate/ Marks Sheet in original.
5.      Character Certificate in original.
6.      Caste Certificate issued by Tehsildar/SDM/DM.
7.      Certificates pertaining to achievements in equestrian sports, if any.
8.      Ten latest colour passport size photos.

(j)      Riding Kit for undergoing Equestrian sports aptitude test.

4.       Selected candidates will be provided free education up to X Std, free of cost Boarding and lodging, living accommodation, insurance, medical facility and intensive scientific coaching in Equestrian (Horse Riding) discipline. On completion of X-Std and age of 17 yrs and 06 months, it is mandatory for the sports cadets to undergo the selection process as applicable for enrolment into the Indian Army under the provision of Recruitment Rules.

5.       Covid-19 Precautionary Measures.All candidates will be carrying mask and gloves and produce a RT-PCR/Rapid Antigen Negative Certificate and        “No Risk Certificate” when they report for the rally.
