PIB News Update:Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal has informed thatMajority of officers have supported the formation of Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS). However, officers of Indian Railway Traffic Service, Indian Railway Personnel Service and Indian Railway Accounts Service have submitted their suggestions, which will be kept in view while finalizing the modalities of IRMS. The modalities of IRMS will be finalized in consultation with Department of Personnel and Training and approval of Alternate Mechanism. Merger of 8 organized Group ‘A’ services having 8401 sanctioned posts has been approved.
