Ambar Kishor Jha IPS given additional charge as DIG – Zone-I, Kaleshwaram, Telangana
Shri Ambar Kishor Jha IPS (Telangana 2009), presently Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam, has been given additional charge as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) – Zone-I, Kaleshwaram, Telangana.
An officer of the 2009 batch of the Indian Police Service, Shri Ambar Kishor Jha has held important policing responsibilities in Telangana. In his present assignment as Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam, he is responsible for the overall leadership and supervision of police administration in the Ramagundam Police Commissionerate.
With the latest arrangement, Shri Jha will additionally take charge as DIG, Zone-I, Kaleshwaram. The zone comprises the districts of Bhupalapalli-Jayashankar, Asifabad-Komarambheem, Ramagundam Police Commissionerate and Mulugu.
The additional responsibility involves supervision and coordination of police administration across a large and strategically important jurisdiction. The DIG-level assignment requires close coordination with district police leadership and commissionerate authorities, besides monitoring law-and-order and policing arrangements across the zone.
Shri Jha’s experience as Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam, is expected to be valuable in handling the additional responsibility. His present assignment has provided him with experience in leading a major police commissionerate and coordinating policing operations across an important region of Telangana.
The latest arrangement is part of the Telangana Government’s administrative exercise to strengthen zonal supervision and ensure effective coordination among different police units. The assignment also places additional responsibility on an experienced senior police officer.
With his new charge, Shri Jha will continue to lead the Ramagundam Police Commissionerate while also overseeing the responsibilities assigned to Zone-I, Kaleshwaram.
