The Ministry of Civil Aviation is organising the “Special Campaign 2.0 for Swachhata” from 2nd to 31st October 2022 in continuation of the campaign held in 2021.

The Special Campaign 2.0 is being run by all Ministries / Departments of the Government of India and their attached/subordinate offices with a focus on the field/outstation offices. Offices responsible for service delivery or those involving public interface are being given special attention.

On 3rd October 2022, Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Jyotiraditya M Scindia administered the oath of cleanliness (Swachhata ki Shapath) to the officials of the ministry and encouraged them by participating in the cleanliness drive. During the oath, he said, “ना स्वयं गन्दगी करूंगा, नाही दूसरों को करने दूंगा” ।

The Minister inspected the progress of the campaign in Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan on 12th and 19th October 2022 and gave necessary directions to the officials.

In the campaign of previous year, 8993 files were weeded, 3900 square feet of space was created and a revenue of Rs 310,050 was generated by scrap disposal. This year, as on 20th October 2022, 11,187 files have been weeded, 18,374 square feet of space has been freed and revenue of Rs. 8,993,471 have been generated.

Ministry of Civil Aviation, its attached offices such as DGCA, BCAS, CRS & AAIB, related autonomous bodies such as AERA, IGRUA & RGNAU, PSUs such as AAI, AIAHL, and PHL are actively running the campaign by sensitizing their officers, mobilising ground functionaries, appointing nodal officers, and working to meet the milestones of the campaign.
