RECPDCL extends ₹1.25 Crore CSR support for Kargil
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has extended financial support of ₹1.25 crore to the District Administration of Kargil, Ladakh. The funding is dedicated to strengthening critical education, healthcare, and drinking water infrastructure, directly benefiting nearly 1.95 lakh residents across the remote district.
A key milestone of this inclusive development initiative was reached on June 19, 2026, with the official flagging off of a new 40-seater school bus. The ceremony was led by Sh. Jitendra Srivastava, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of REC Ltd., alongside Sh. Prince Dhawan, CEO of RECPDCL, and distinguished representatives from the Union Territory (UT) Administration of Ladakh and the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil.
By establishing safe, reliable, and consistent transportation, the newly deployed school bus aims to bridge geographical gaps for youth in the rugged terrain, bringing children closer to essential learning opportunities and a brighter academic future.
This infrastructure support underscores RECPDCL’s core mission to empower remote and underserved communities through sustainable, impactful development.
