Indian Bureaucracy, New Delhi, February 12, 2025| The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued notification today regarding the appointment of three senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from the West Bengal cadre as Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on central deputation for a period of five years. The names of the officers, along with their current assignments, are provided below.
- Shri Awadhesh Pathak IPS (2009 batch) of the West Bengal cadre, is currently serving as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Armed Police, North Bengal, Siliguri, West Bengal. He has been appointed as the DIG in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
- Shri Annappa E IPS (2005 batch) of the West Bengal cadre, is currently serving as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Civil Defence, West Bengal. He has been appointed as the DIG in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
- Shri Nagendra Nath Tripathi IPS (2009 batch) of the West Bengal cadre, is currently serving as the DIG and is posted as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) for WBPD, West Bengal. He has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector General in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
