The Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), located in Assam, is an autonomous region created under the Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution to ensure self-governance and socio-economic development for the Bodo people and other communities. Comprising the districts of Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, and Udalguri, BTR is administered by the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). Established after the Bodo Peace Accord of 2020, it aims to promote peace, preserve cultural identity, and accelerate development in the region.
