Major Police Reshuffle in Haryana | 17 IPS Transferred
In a major administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening policing, operational efficiency, and law enforcement management across the state, the Government of Haryana has ordered the transfer and posting of 17 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers along with several Haryana Police Service (HPS) officers with immediate effect. The transfers involve senior-level changes in key positions including Commissioners of Police, Additional Directors General of Police (ADGPs), Inspectors General of Police (IGPs), Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs), and Superintendents of Police (SPs).
Among the prominent changes, Shatru Jeet Kapur has been appointed as Commissioner of Police, Gurugram, while Vikas Arora has been posted as ADGP/Administration at Police Headquarters, Panchkula. Several important units including Crime Branch, CID, HAP Madhuban, STF, SCRB, RTC Bhondsi, and South Range Rewari have also witnessed leadership changes under the latest reshuffle.
The transfers are expected to strengthen administrative coordination, improve policing efficiency, and enhance law and order management across Haryana. The reshuffle reflects the state government’s continued focus on effective governance, institutional strengthening, and strategic deployment of senior police officers in crucial operational assignments. - Dr. Manoj Ravi Kiran IPS (Haryana 1996) presently ADGP/Central Range, Karnal has been transferred and posted as ADGP- SV & ACB(H), Haryana Police.
- Shri K K Rao IPS (Haryana 1996) presently ADGP/Hisar Range, Hisar has been transferred and posted as ADGP, RTC, Bhondsi.
- Shri Vikas Arora IPS (Haryana 1998) presently Commissioner of Police, Gurugram has been transferred and posted as ADGP/Administration, PHQ, Panchkula.
- Shri Shatru Jeet Kapur IPS (Haryana 1998) presently Commissioner of Police, Panchkula with additional charge of ADGP/Crime & Director SCRB(H), Panchkula has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Gurugram.

- Shri Abhishek Jorwal IPS (SPS) (Haryana 2004) presently IGP, CID(H), Panchkula has been transferred and posted as IGP/Karnal Range, Karnal.
- Shri Om Prakash IPS (SPS) (Haryana 2006) presently IGP/HAP, Madhuban has been transferred and posted as IGP, South Range, Rewari.

- Shri Surinder Pal Singh IPS (SPS) (Haryana 2010) presently DIG, HAP, Madhuban, Karnal has been transferred and posted as DIG/CID(H).
- Shri Rajender Kumar Meena IPS (Haryana 2011) presently DCP, Sonipat with additional charge of DCP Headquarters, Sonipat has been transferred and posted as DCP, HSNCB in addition to his present duties.
