Indian Bureaucracy News | Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly Elections Announced | The State Assembly elections will be held in Maharashtra and Haryana in a single phase on October 21 and results will be declared on October 24, the Election Commission informed today. The last date for filing nominations would be October 4 and the deadline for withdrawing them would be October 7. These are the first assembly polls after the national election this year, with almost 1.82 Cr voters in Haryana and 8.9 Cr voters in Maharashtra casting their votes.
2014 : Haryana 90 seat assembly : BJP – 47, Congress- 15, INLD- 19 seats and Maharashtra 288 seat assembly : BJP – 122 , Shiv Sena- 63
