Shri Kaushick Saha IAS (West Bengal 2010) presently OSD in Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department has been transferred and posted as Senior Special Secretary- School Education Department, West Bengal.
Shri Kaushick Saha, an experienced officer of the All India Services, is presently serving as Director (Census Operations) under the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi. Since 22 February 2023, he has been contributing to the country’s largest demographic exercise with responsibility for planning, field coordination, data management, and inter-departmental oversight. His role is central to ensuring that Census operations are conducted with accuracy, transparency, and technological efficiency.
Before his current tenure in the Government of India, Shri Saha served as Managing Director, Agriculture Marketing, West Bengal from 8 July 2022 to 20 February 2023, where he played a significant role in strengthening agri-market systems, improving stakeholder interface, and enhancing market-linked farmer support mechanisms.
A notable phase of his career has been his service as District Magistrate, Cooch Behar since 1 October 2019, where he has led district administration, developmental interventions, disaster management, and citizen services with a focus on inclusive governance. His leadership in complex administrative environments reflects dedication to public welfare and institutional efficiency.
