PIB News Update: The President of India, in exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, appointed Smt. Justice Vimla Singh Kapoor, Additional Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court, to be a Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court, with effect from the date she assumes charge of her office. A notification in this regard was issued by the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice today.
Smt. Vimla Singh Kapoor, B.Sc. LL.B., joined the Judicial Service as Civil Judge Class Il on 03.09.1987. She was appointed as an Additional Judge of Chhattisgarh High Court on 18.06.2018 for a period of 2 years. The period was further extended for one year w.e.f. 18.06.2020.
