Justice Venkatesh Naik Thavaryanaik presently Additional Judge- Karnataka High Court has been appointed as Permanent Judge- Karnataka High Court.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Venkatesh Naik Thavaryanaik is a distinguished member of the judiciary whose remarkable career is a testament to his dedication and skill in the legal field. Born on June 1, 1975, and a native of Chitradurga, he embarked on his legal education at SJM Law College, Chitradurga, where he excelled and secured 3rd rank in his B.A.L., LL.B. program. Demonstrating a passion for further learning, he obtained his LL.M. degree from Kuvempu University, Shivamogga.
Justice Thavaryanaik began his legal journey as an advocate practicing in Chitradurga, earning the respect of his peers for his commitment and expertise. His judicial career commenced with his appointment as District Judge on January 2, 2012, marking the beginning of a series of significant contributions to the judiciary.
He served with distinction as Registrar (Administration) at the High Court of Karnataka, showcasing his organizational and administrative abilities. In addition, he held the important role of Principal Secretary to the Government, Law Department, further underlining his versatility and dedication to public service. His tenure as Principal District and Sessions Judge in both Udupi and Bengaluru Rural Districts was marked by fairness and judicial excellence.
Justice Thavaryanaik’s contributions culminated in his appointment as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Karnataka on January 24, 2023. His career reflects a steadfast commitment to justice and the rule of law, making him an exemplary figure in the legal fraternity.
