Justice Sanjay Ganpatrao Mehare presently Additional Judge appointed as Judge of Bombay High Court, in exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India to the President of India, after consultation with Chief Justice of India, vide notifications dated 03.03.2023.
Born on 23rd March, 1963 at Akola. Graduated in Commerce from Nagpur University. Did LL.B. in 1988 from Sitabai Arts & Law College, Akola, affiliated to Amravati University. Enrolled as an Advocate with Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa on 31st December, 1988. Practised at District and Sessions Court at Akola, Amravati, Washim and Buldana on civil, criminal and revenue side.
Joined Judiciary as District Judge on 2nd May, 2008. Posted as Principal District & Sessions Judge at Dadra, Nagar Haveli (U.T.) & Daman (U.T.), Gadchiroli, Nanded, Aurangabad and Nagpur. Also posted as Charity Commissioner of the State of Maharashtra.
Elevated as Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on 25th June, 2021.
