The Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation (DoWR, RD & GR), Ministry of Jal Shakti, and its organizations are actively participating in the Special Campaign 3.0 initiative to reduce pendency, declutter, and improve the working space in and around their premises. The campaign, conducted from 2nd to 31st October 2023, aims to expedite the resolution of pending matters and promote cleanliness in government offices.
In DoWR, RD & GR, targets have been finalized, nodal officers nominated, and review meetings are being conducted at the Secretary level to assess the progress of the campaign activities. The department is actively updating the progress on the portal on a daily basis. Activities under the campaign include cleanliness drives, review and simplification of rules and procedures, record management system review, and productive use of space. The major achievements of the department under Special Campaign 3.0 for the week ending 6th October 2023 are as follows:
- Cleanliness Campaign Sites: 97 out of 275 targets.
- Inter-Ministerial References (Cabinet Note): 0 out of 1 target.
- Parliament Assurances: 1 out of 10 targets.
- MPs References: 0 out of 36 targets.
- PMO References: 1 out of 9 targets.
- Public Grievances: 9 out of 65 targets.
- Public Grievance Appeals: 1 out of 19 targets.
- Reviewing & Weeding out Physical Files: 1,948 out of 30,615 targets, with 327 files weeded out.
- Revenue Generated through Scrap Disposal: Rs. 56,008/-
- Space Freed (in Sq feet): 35,711 Sq ft.
