Shri Ishwar Singh IPS (Punjab 1993) presently Vigilance Bureau Chief of Punjab, has been transferred and posted as ADGP- Law and Order, Punjab Police. Shri Singh started his career as assistant superintendent of police at Sutanpur Lodhi. He has also served as senior superintendent of police in Hoshiarpur, Barnala, Nawanshahr, Khanna, Bathinda, Gurdaspur, and Jalandhar; deputy inspector general (DIG) in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Jalandhar zone-2; police commissioner in Ludhiana, and Jalandhar; and IG in Patiala zone-1.
Shri Singh has received 50th Independence Anniversary Medal; Republic Day Police Medal for Meritorious service in 2009; and state award for community policing on August 15, 2014.
