International Women’s Day was celebrated in CEL, wherein various activities were organized with participation of school childrenand women employees of CEL. Smt. Garima Jain, Ex-Officio Chairman of CEL’s Women Welfare Cell, Prof. Dr. Arun Lata, MMH College, Ghaziabad, Dr. Vibha Chauhan, Principal, Govt. Girls Inter College, Vijaynagar, Ghaziabad graced the occasion and enthused the women employees of CEL to excel and lead in all fields of life. Prizes were awarded to the winners of various competitions held on 7th March, 2022.

Shri Chetan Prakash Jain, CMD of CEL informed that women in CEL are working in technical as well as administrative positions and contributing in growth of the organization in a big way. He informed that CEL is a manufacturer of critical products for strategic and defense applications which include Ceramic Radomes for missiles, Phase Control Modules forRadars, Drishti equipment installed at airports for safe landing of airplanes, etc.He added that CELis producing axle counters which play avital role in ensuring safe operationof Indian railways.CMD,CEL mentioned that developmental work is in progress in various products – Circulators and Isolators for ISRO, Body Armours (Bullet proof jackets and Vests), Laser fencing Systems for Border Security force, TR modules and other microwave components, required in bulk, in most of defense applications.He said that CEL is producing axle counters which have vital role in safety of railways.CEL is providing integrated security solutions to various organizations and executing a number of security and surveillance projects. CMD, CEL emphasized on the contribution of the company toward AtmaNirbharBharat initiative of the Govt. of India.
Speaking on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Smt. Garima Jain said that women are occupying top positions in government and private organizations. They are formulating the government policies and implementing them too. Women like Sarojini Naidu, Indira Gandhi, Kalpana Chawla, Kiran Bedi, Lata Mangeskar, et al have been a source of inspiration for generations. Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, our current finance Minister is a fine example of women, who not only take care of their families but also serve the society and the country, at large. Gender equality and women’s empowermenthas been in focus in our country for quite some time now and this has created aconducive environment for a sustainable future. Women are contributing in every field with their knowledge, innovation, courage, strength, compassion and passion. Our sportswomen are earning laurels for the country and in defense forces they are contributing towards the security of the country, shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts.
Professor Arun Lata, appreciated CEL for celebrating International Women’s Day and providing the women employees with ample opportunities to compete on various platforms, which contribute towards the overall growth of the company. She emphasized that women exhibit high inner strength in tough times and are apowerhouse of compassion. Professor Lata mentioned that, Smt. Garima Jain, Ex-Officio Chairman of CEL’s Women WelfareCell, herselfis an inspiration for all employees of CEL. She is a multi-tasker. She is managingher family and discharging her duties as a top official in Govt. of India.
Dr. Vibha Chauhan, thanked CMD, CEL for providing her students with an invaluable opportunity to visit the solar technology park. She appreciated various displays in solar park considering the importance of renewable energy for a sustainable future.
