Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to promote Intellectual Property Rights in India to leverage its innovation prowess by creating a “Strong IP Ecosystem” through capacity development, IP Protection, Enforcement and conducive policy reforms. The main objective is to promote the IP creation culture as well as protection within industries. CII is firmly of the opinion that intellectual property rights along with many other parameters, such as the overall legal frame work in the country, the growth in GDP, and investment in research and development in science and technology, play a crucial role in achieving this goal.
In this context, the CII in partnership with Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade(DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt of India and Intellectual Property office, India(IPO) would like to significantly scale up its joint yearly event on “World Intellectual Property Day” where 11th National IP Awards 2019 of India Intellectual Office (IPO) will be conferred to achievers in the field of IP. This year, CII will hold a mega platform “India Intellectual Property Convention” on 25-26 April 2019 in New Delhi, with the theme of “Celebrating the Ascending Trajectory of Indian IPR Ecosystem “
