Indian Bureaucracy News | Indian Council of Food and Agriculture (ICFA) has joined hands with GlobalG.A.P as the Country Partner. The MoU for this was signed in Cologne, Germany between Dr. Kristian Moellar, CEO, Global GAP and Dr. MJ Khan  Chairman, ICFA.  On the signing of the Agreement, Dr. Khan said that India is committed to doubling its agro exports in next three years time from its current level of $30 billion, as the call given by the Prime Minister. GAP certification holds key to achieving this objective. Signing of this MoU makes beginning of our great partnership, said Dr. Khan, adding that India needs adoption and certification of Good Agriculture Practices for sustainability and qualitative improvements. With exports focus and rapidly rising demand for safe and nutritious food in India, this partnership will bring about needed transformational changes in Indian agriculture towards achieving quality production with best global practices and access to global markets by Indian farmers.
