Shri M Venkaiah Naidu, Honourable Union Minister for Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Urban Development and Information & Broadcasting, inaugurated DoPT’s IAS Training on ‘Smart Cities’ .
In the inaugural address, the Minister elaborated that the objective of the Smart Cities Mission is to promote cities that provide core infrastructure and give a decent quality of life to its citizens, a clean and sustainable environment and application of ‘smart’ solutions.
Dr. M Ravi Kanth, CMD HUDCO said that the training programme would go a long way in helping the participants to develop a better understanding of Smart Cities and urged the participants to implement the learning in their respective areas of work at field level.
