Shri Hari Mohan Gupta IES (1989), graduated in Civil Engineering in 1988 from University of Roorkee (renamed as IIT/Roorkee) and worked as Executive Director (Works) in Ministry of Railways, Railway Board, New Delhi since 12-04-2019 to 12-10-2020.
Before joining Rail Ministry office, he worked for 7 years on deputation on a challenging Iconic Project as Chief Project Manager of Rewari -Dadri section of Western Dedicated Freight Corridor in DFCCIL organization and was instrumental in acquisition of land in 7 Prime Districts (Rewari, Mewat, Gurgaon, Palwal, Faridabad in Haryana, Alwar in Rajasthan & Gautam Buddha Nagar in UP) of National Capital region territory, ensuring Forestry clearances in all Districts by making a tunnel in the Aravallis. All Designs & Drawings of the project components were finalized during his tenure and construction activities all along the alignment started in a big way.
Sh. Gupta is also having experience of track maintenance, repair, maintenance, operation, overhauling of huge Railway track machines responsible for laying and maintenance of Railway track network, tendering, contract finalization, arbitration and administration of Zonal Railways in a big way and gained a lot of experience in project monitoring, financing & other related fields.
Shri Gupta is an alumnus of Modi Science & Inter College, Modinagar, Ghaziabad district, UP. He started his career as Assistant Engineer/ Chunar in Prayagraj division of Northern Railway. He was instrumental in establishing track machines spares procurement system as per stores tendering in Northern Railways for the first time in Indian Railways. He was awarded the General Manager award while working as Sr. Divisional Engineer Ambala and got maximum shields (Performance Shields) while working as Sr. Divisional Engineer (Coordination) at Moradabad. He is eminently known for his eloquence in public speaking in Hindi and English and has wide experience of anchoring many official shows.
