Government has issued moderate flood warnings in eleven States in view of heavy to very heavy rainfall forecast by Met Department in the next 48 to 72 hours. The states are Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Met Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy fall in East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa Coastal and Ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka.
Due to this rainfall, Mahi, Sabarmati, Banas, Godavari and Krishna Tapi, Cauvery rivers and their tributaries are likely to rise and create low to moderate flood.
