Ms. Geeta Kapur has been appointed Director (Personnel) of Mini Ratna Schedule ‘A’ Public Sector Undertaking SJVN Limited by Govt. of India. Prior to this Mrs. Kapur was holding the post of General Manger (HR) in SJVN.  She succeeds Shri Nand Lal Sharma who has been elevated to the post of Chairman & Managing Director on 01st of December, 2017. Ms Kapur was first women Officer to join SJVN HR Department and now, she is the first women functional Director of SJVN. She was selected by Public Enterprise Selection Board, Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India in an interview, where she had stiff competition from other senior candidates from various Public Sector Undertakings including SJVN.

Ms Geeta Kapur joined SJVN in 1992 as Personnel Officer.  Prior to joining SJVN, Mrs. Kapur was working in Punjab Wireless Systems a concern owned by Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation. After her initial education from prestigious Loretto Convent(Tara Hall) in Shimla. She earned her graduation degree from St. Bedes College and  completed her MBA from, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.She has vast experience of 30 years in various personnel and administration functions. Under her leadership the effective implementation of Balanced Score Card to achieve organizational targets has resulted in Excellent and Very Good MOU rating for the past several years.

Ms Geeta Kapur is very enthusiastic about her new appointment and will strive to establish SJVN in revered list of “Great Place to Work” on the bedrock of sound and strategic HR interventions.
