Shri G Vishwanath Reddy IFoS (Rajasthan 1985) presently Principal Chief Conservator Of Forest & Chairman, Rajasthan Bio Diversity Board, Jaipur, has been transferred and posted as Principal Chief Conservator Of Forests (Head Of Forest Force), Rajasthan, Jaipur. Shri Reddy joined Indian Forest Service in 1985, worked as Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) Kota and CCF Wildlife Bharatpur. Shri Reddy responsible for introducing innovative methods for systematic protection, development of forests and revival of traditional forestry along with overall development of the indigenous people through joint forest management. He was also associated with total literacy campaigns in the district and played key role in developing seven books for literacy programme. Recognising his efforts Banswara forest division was adjudged best forest division for the year 1996 and Governor of Rajasthan conferred “Government of Rajasthan merit certificate 1997” to him.
