Dr G. Sunil Kumar Babu has taken over the charge as Director of National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) earlier, he has worked in Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University in the capacity of Director (International Programmes) and Coordinator for Polytechnics.
National Commission for Scheduled Castes has been set up under Article 338 of the Constitution of India to oversee the implementation of various safeguards provided to Scheduled Castes under the Constitution. State Office, Hyderabad has jurisdiction over Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
