Shri Gopal Das Agrawal presently President, ITAT has been given extension of tenure for a period of 6 month w.e.f. 18.08.2017.
Shri Agrawal born on 07 Jul 1957 at Rajnandgaon (M.P.), Shri Gopal Das Agrawal did his schooling in Rajnandgaon. Educational Qualification of Shri Agrawal is B. Com., LL.B., F.C.A. He has practiced as Chartered Accountant for 15 years (1980-1994) at Raipur (M.P.).
On 31th May 1994, Shri Agrawal joined the Tribunal as Accountant Member at Delhi Benches and later on elevated as Vice President on 15th February, 2006 and posted at Kolkata. On superannuation of Justice Shri Dev Darshan Sud, President, ITAT on 17.02.2017 (A/N), Shri G.D. Agrawal, Vice President assumed charge as officiating President of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal. During his service as Accountant Member and Vice President, he was posted at New Delhi, Jabalpur, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. He is due to retire on 06 Jul 2019.
