From the tea gardens of Jalpaiguri to the border outposts of Ranaghat, and from the industrial corridors of Asansol to the commuter arteries of Howrah and Hooghly, the reshuffle appears calibrated to place trusted personnel in sensitive zones ahead of the electoral battle. With 52 officers moved in just two days in the West Bengal Police , the message from Nabanna is unmistakable – the government is leaving little to chance when it comes to policing on the ground.
