Vigilance Awareness Week 2020 drew to a close with talks on various aspects of vigilance by experts and distribution of prizes to the winners of the essay competition by Sh. R N Singh, MD DFCCIL in the presence of Sh. Ashish Kumar, CVO, Sh. Nanduri Srinivas Director/OP&BD, Sh. Anshuman Sharma, Director/PP, Sh. Hira Ballabh, Director/Finance, Sh. Hari Mohan Gupta, Director/Infrastructure, DFCCIL employees & staff on 02.11.2020.

Earlier in the day, Sh. S P Singh, Director, Central Vigilance Commission gave an illuminating talk on Procurement and Preventive Action with practical examples to

senior DFC officials at the Corporate office and 14 Units who joined through Video Conferencing. Sh. S P Singh explained various facets of Public Procurement in Public Sector. He further laid emphasis on Preventive Vigilance measures and its effectiveness. Identification of Risk areas and approaches to combat Corruption were further explained.

Concluding session was a lecture and presentation on “Corruption, Trust and Governance” delivered by Sh. Ajit Mishra, Director, Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi. He also took the participants through various economic researches regarding Corruption. Both the sessions were appreciated and well received. Other activities organised by the Vigilance Department on the occasion of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2020 being observed from 27th October to 2nd November with the theme, “सतर्कभारत, समृद्धभारत (VigilantIndia, Prosperous India)” were:

  • Pledge taking Ceremony by employees, staff and stakeholders.

  • Distribution of Badges to all employees and staff.

  • Display of banners and posters on the topic of integrity and eradication of corruption.

  • Participation of nominated officials in the National Conference on Vigilance and Anti- Corruption organized by CBI through virtual platform.

  • Vigilance Week programmes in all 14 Field Units.
