The Department of Youth Affairs, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, has undertaken Special Campaigns 2.0 focusing on the disposal of pending matters and promoting cleanliness in government offices. This initiative ran from November 2022 to August 2023, following a similar campaign held in 2021.
Significant efforts have been dedicated to resolving various types of pending matters. In alignment with the campaign’s objectives, the Department of Youth Affairs successfully eliminated over 1000 physical files and transitioned to e-office procedures to a considerable extent. Additionally, more than 97% of MP References and 95% of Public Grievances/PG Appeals were addressed. As part of the cleanliness drive, several sites were thoroughly cleaned, resulting in the liberation of approximately 1000 sq ft of space for more productive use.
The Department of Youth Affairs is enthusiastic about actively participating in SCDPM 3.0 (Special Campaigns for Disposal of Pending Matters) in the future.
