Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane on a two-day visit to Oman

IndianBureaucracy, Defence News – Defence Secretary Shri Giridhar Aramane is currently on a two-day visit to Oman, from January 30 to 31, 2024. As part of the visit, he is co-chairing the 12th Joint Military Cooperation Committee meeting with Oman’s Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, Dr Mohammed bin Naseer bin Ali Al-Zaabi.

The bilateral discussions focus on reviewing existing defence cooperation and exploring innovative initiatives, including industry collaboration, to enhance bilateral engagements. Shri Giridhar Aramane and Dr Mohammed bin Naseer bin Ali Al-Zaabi will exchange perspectives on regional and global issues of mutual concern.

This visit aims to strengthen the defence cooperation and strategic partnership between India and Oman across various aspects of military collaboration, encompassing bilateral exercises, staff talks, training, and other emerging areas. The robust and multifaceted relationship between the two countries, particularly in defence and security, reflects their commitment to working together under the vision of a strategic partnership. Both nations share a common interest in promoting peace and prosperity throughout the region.
