Shri David Lalrinsanga IPS (AGMUT 1995), presently Special CP, Special Police Unit for Women and Children (SPUWAC) and Special Police Unit For North- Eastern Region (SPUNER), is transferred and appointed as Special CP – Operations, PCR and Communication, Delhi Police, with additional charge of Special CP – SPUNER, Delhi Police.
The Special Commissioner of Police (Operations, PCR and Communication), Delhi Police, oversees critical frontline functions that ensure rapid response, coordination, and operational readiness across the national capital. The division supervises the Police Control Room (PCR) operations, emergency helplines, and dispatch units that handle thousands of distress calls daily, ensuring immediate assistance to citizens. It is also responsible for maintaining the city’s advanced communication network that connects all police stations, control rooms, and patrol units for real-time coordination. The Operations wing plans and executes major law-and-order arrangements, VIP security, and emergency response strategies during festivals, protests, and special events. Under the leadership of the Special CP (Operations, PCR & Communication), the division continuously upgrades communication infrastructure, integrates GPS and digital technologies, and strengthens quick response systems. This division forms the backbone of Delhi Police’s field operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and seamless connectivity in the city’s policing framework.
