Shri D D Padsalgikar IPS (Maharashtra 1982) presently Director General of Police (DGP), Maharashtra, has been given extension in service for a period of three months beyond the date of his superannuation i.e. 31.08.2018, in relaxation of Rule 16(1) of All India Service (DCR) Rules, 1958, in public interest.
Shri Padgalsikar had served in the intelligence bureau for more than a decade. Shri Padgalsikar is recipient of President’s Police Medal. He has also served as Additional Superintendent of Police in Nagpur, Karad and Nashik, following which he was Superintendent of Police in Osmanabad and Satara. He later was appointed as DCP is various branches of Mumbai Police.
