PIB News Update: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari has informed that For replacing all level crossings on National Highway corridors by Road Over Bridges/ Road Under Bridges (ROBs/RUBs), Ministry has to construct complete ROBs/ RUBs (including railway bridge portion) on National Highways in the country based on feasibility study either as stand-alone project or as a part of major Highway development project. The State/UT-wise details of ROBs/RUBs started during last three years in the country is placed at Annexure-I.

Fund is not a constraint for completing any approved ROBs/RUBs project. Expenditure on any ROB project is incurred as a part of all highway development project. Total expenditure incurred on execution of all projects on the National Highways in the country for last three years is as under:-
