Hindi Fortnight was celebrated at Ordnance Factory Board , Kolkata from 14th of September,2016 to 28th of September,2016. After Inauguration of Hindi Fortnight on 14th of September, various competitions were organised at O F Board Office. In between the period, Official Language Conference of East and Central Zone were also organised at Ishapur and Jabalpur respectively. On 28th of September,2016 prize distribution and valedictory function of Hindi Fortnight was organised at O F B Office.
DGOF & Chairman /O F Board who was at New Delhi for meetings at Ministry of Defence sent his Greetings for the occasion. President of Badabazar Kumarsabha Library, Dr. Prem Shankar Tripathi was present as Chief Guest. The function was presided over by Shri P. K. Shrivastava, Member/Per. /O. F. B. In his speech, Chief Guest Dr. Prem Shankar Tripathi gave example of small lamp spreading light in the darkness and urged the employees to increase use of Hindi by their small efforts. In his presidential speech Member/Per. Shri P. K. Shrivastava stressed on importance of Hindi as a language of common man for a larger market outreach in the age of globalization and urged the employees and officers to make more and more use of Hindi. He gave prizes to winners of different Hindi competitions. The employees and officers participated in the function enthusiastically. Guests were welcomed on the occasion by DDG/Hqr. Shri B. Udaya Kumar and welcome speech was delivered by Shri S. K. De Director/Hqr. The function was over after motion of thanks was presented by Dr. Sanjay Tripathi, Asst. Director (O.L.).
