Shri Bhavya Verma IAS (Gujarat 2016) presently Mission Director, Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), Gandhinagar is transferred and appointed as Collector, Valsad relieving Shri Atirag Chaplot IAS of additional charge .
Shri Bhavya Verma holds a B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication and multiple distinguished postgraduate qualifications, including an MBA in Finance and Business Management from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), a Master’s in Public Management from JNU in collaboration with LBSNAA, a CFA and MFA from the CFA Institute (USA), and an M.A. in Development Economics from IGNOU — all earned with distinction.
Since joining the Indian Administrative Service in 2016, Shri Verma has held key administrative roles across urban development, rural administration, finance, and employment. His notable positions include District Development Officer in Kutch, Director in the Labour & Employment Department, and Assistant Collector in Surendranagar. He also held additional charge as CEO of Urban Development Authorities in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad. Known for his multidimensional expertise and sharp administrative acumen, Shri Verma exemplifies dedicated public service and visionary governance.
