BEL achieves turnover of Rs 8,800 Cr , growth of 17% over last year

In an Indian Bureaucracy PSU news update, Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)  has ended the year 2016-17 by registering a whopping top line figure of around Rs. 8,800 crores (provisional), a growth of about 17% over the last year turnover of 7,522 crores.

Bharat Electronics Limited flagship projects executed during the year include Akash Weapon System, Hand Held Thermal Imager with Laser Range Finder, 3D Tactical Control Radar, Weapon Locating Radar, upgraded L- 70 Guns, Fire Control Systems, Hull Mounted Sonar ,Radio Relays, elements of Integrated Air Command and Control Systems, Ship borne EW Systems, etc.

Bharat Electronics Limited CMD Shri M V Gowtama says “during this year,

the company’s main focus has been on indigenization to achieve self- reliance, capacity building , expansion and increase outsourcing to SME sector . BEL has also been able to maintain good order acquisition this year . These efforts will enable BEL to continue to have sustained growth while effectively addressing future opportunities in Defence Business.
