B Srinivasan IAS given additional charge as Director – Mines & Geology, Punjab
Shri B Srinivasan IAS (Punjab 2011), presently Managing Director, Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation (PUNSUP), has been given additional charge as Director – Mines & Geology, Punjab.
An officer of the 2011 batch of the Indian Administrative Service, Shri B Srinivasan has held important administrative responsibilities in the Government of Punjab. His present assignment as Managing Director of the Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation places him at the helm of a key state government organisation involved in the management and distribution of essential commodities and related public service functions.
With the latest order, Shri Srinivasan will now handle the additional responsibility of Director – Mines & Geology, Punjab. The department is entrusted with the administration and regulation of the mining sector, including matters relating to mineral resources, mining operations, regulatory mechanisms and associated government revenue.
The additional charge represents an important responsibility alongside his existing assignment at PUNSUP. Shri Srinivasan’s experience in public administration and his current leadership role in a major state government corporation will be valuable in handling the responsibilities of the Mines and Geology Department.
The latest arrangement reflects the Punjab Government’s administrative decision to entrust important departmental responsibilities to experienced officers. The assignment will require coordination with various stakeholders and effective monitoring of the department’s functioning.
With his new responsibility, Shri Srinivasan will continue to contribute to the administration of Punjab while overseeing the functioning of the Mines and Geology Department in addition to his existing responsibilities at PUNSUP.
