Indian Bureaucracy, Dispur, July 15, 2025| The state government assigned additional responsibilities to three senior bureaucrats, including two IAS officers. Two of the departments are considered crucial due to recurring floods that lead to significant loss of life and property each year. These include the Assam Resilient Rural Bridges Program, a $452 million initiative supported by the World Bank, and the Assam Disaster Resilient Hill Area Roads Development Project, also funded by the World Bank, with a budget of ₹3,875 crore for upgrading 930 km of roads in Dima Hasao district. Additionally, a Managing Director has been appointed for the Assam State Warehousing Corporation Ltd.
- Shri Adil Khan IAS (Assam Meghalaya 2011), presently Secretary, Excise Department, Assam, with additional charge of Secretary, Welfare of Minorities Development Department, Barak Valley Development Department, and, Secretary, Irrigation Department is given additional charge of Project Director – Assam Resilient Rural Bridges Program (ARRBP).
- Shri Anbamuthan M P IAS (Assam Meghalaya 2014), presently Secretary, PWD (Roads) Department, with additional charge of Project Director, ARNIP and ASRIP, CEO, GMDA, and, Managing Director, Assam Urban Infrastructure Development & Finance Corporation Ltd. (AUIDFCL), is given additional charge of Project Director – Assam Disaster Resilient Hill Area Roads Development Project (ADRHARDP).
- Shri Bimal Deka ACS (1997), presently Joint Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), with additional charge of State Protocol Officer, GAD, Assam, is given additional charge of Managing Director – Assam State Warehousing Corporation Ltd.
