Shri Ashutosh Dwivedi presently Executive Director- Coal India Limited (CIL) has been appointed as Director -Technical, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) till the date of his superannuation, i.e. 31.10.2028 by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
Shri Ashutosh Dwivedi has been appointed as Director (Technical) of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). He will serve in this role until his superannuation on 31st October 2028.
Shri Dwivedi brings with him an illustrious career of over 34 years of professional experience in the coal mining sector, marked by technical expertise, operational excellence, and leadership across multiple verticals of Coal India. His appointment underlines his proven track record in advancing coal production, operational efficiency, and sustainable mining practices.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-BHU), Varanasi, Shri Dwivedi is widely respected as an accomplished mining professional. His strong academic foundation, combined with decades of hands-on experience in both open-cast and underground mining operations, has made him one of the most versatile leaders in the coal sector.
Over the course of his career, he has contributed significantly to multiple subsidiaries of Coal India Limited. He has served in critical roles at Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), and the parent company, Coal India Limited (CIL). At each stage, his leadership has been instrumental in streamlining operations, introducing modern mining technologies, and strengthening the organizational framework to meet India’s growing energy needs.
