Shri Anil Kumar Chaudhary presently Director (Finance), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) , has been appointed as Chairman in SAIL w.e.f. the date of his assumption of charge of the post, till the date of his superannuation (31.12.2020). Shri Chaudhary joined SAIL in the year 1984 as Junior Manager (F&A). He has accomplished a number of assignments during his career in SAIL. In particular, he has contributed in the areas of Treasury and Banking Operations, Foreign Exchange Management, Capital Budgeting, Cost & Operations Budget, Financial Concurrence and Administration of Centralised Gratuity and Superannuation funds.
Shri Chaudhary is an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) & Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). In addition, he is also an alumni of Faculty of Law Studies (FLS) & Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) of Delhi University, from where he completed LLB, Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management respectively. He has also attended a few International Programmes on Finance & Business Management viz. Advanced Financial Management Programme from Royal Institute of Public Administration (RIPA), London,Specialised Management Programme from Management Development Institute, European School of Management, etc. He has been a regular faculty for various reputed Institutions on areas related to Finance/Management Shri Chaudhary has been one of members of almost all the Board Sub Committees constituted to consider and recommend various proposals to SAIL Board for approval. He has also been nominated by SAIL as Chairman on the Board of mjunction services limited, an e-commerce Joint Venture of SAIL and Tata Steel.
