CBI Chief Alok Verma was reinstated by the Supreme Court, 3 months after the government divested him of his powers and sent him on forced leave. The court said that Shri Alok Verma can now go back to his office but cannot take any major policy decisions for now, asking a high-powered selection committee comprising the PM, Leader of Opposition and CJI to meet and decide on his status within a week.
Indian Bureaucracy Dot Com hopes that the situation would be resolved amicably so that the Central Agency like CBI in between important cases can work smoothly.
