Shri Alok Mishra IIS (1998) presently Joint Secretary- Ministry of Labour and Employment given extension with additional charge of Director General- Directorate General of Factory Advice Service and Labour Institute (DGFASLI) for a period of six months w.e.f. 06.08.2025 by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
The Directorate General of Factory Advice Service & Labour Institutes (DGFASLI) functions under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. It serves as the central technical advisory body on matters related to industrial safety, health, and welfare. DGFASLI provides advisory and consultancy services to factories and industries, conducts inspections and safety audits, and organizes training programs for safety officers, labour inspectors, and industry personnel. It also manages regional labour institutes across the country, which undertake research, surveys, and training activities to promote industrial safety, occupational health, and accident prevention.
