National Artistes Welfare Fund (NAWF) and Artistes Pension Scheme and Welfare Fund(APSWF) are ingredients of a single Scheme titled “Artistes Pension Scheme and Welfare Fund”.  The details of  total amount of funds allocated for the Scheme  in the last 3 years are as under:-

The number of beneficiaries under “Artistes Pension Scheme & Welfare Fund” is 3882. As regards National Artists Welfare Fund (NAWF) there are no beneficiaries as the provisions of financial assistance under Welfare Fund of Artistes Pension Scheme is under review. Pending review no case of financial assistance under Welfare Fund is being considered at present.

 

A Statement showing the State/Union Territory wise number of beneficiaries of artistes pension is enclosed as Annexure. As per the facts mentioned in the reply to part(c) above the number of beneficiaries under National Artists Welfare Fund (NAWF) is Nil.
