The Joint Director plays a vital role in overseeing examination administration, operational planning and implementation of policies related to national-level testing processes. The officer supports the senior leadership of the agency in ensuring smooth conduct of examinations while maintaining high standards of confidentiality, transparency and efficiency.

One of the major responsibilities of the Joint Director is to supervise planning and coordination for large-scale entrance examinations conducted by the agency. The officer is additionally responsible for coordinating with universities, educational institutions and government agencies regarding examination schedules, admission processes and operational requirements. The position may involve preparation of examination guidelines, implementation of standard operating procedures and addressing administrative and technical issues arising during examination cycles.

Another key function of the Joint Director is handling candidate-related services and grievance redressal mechanisms. The officer oversees processes related to application management, admit cards, examination queries and resolution of operational concerns raised by candidates and institutions. Ensuring fairness, accessibility and transparency in the examination process remains a central responsibility of the role.
