Shri Akash Jain IRS (IT 2013) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the National Recruitment Agency (HQ), Delhi, under the Department of Personnel & Training as part of the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years.
The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is an autonomous institution established by the Government of India to streamline the recruitment process for various non-gazetted Group B and Group C posts, marking a progressive reform in Indian Bureaucracy. It conducts the Common Eligibility Test (CET), which replaces multiple exams conducted by agencies such as the SSC, RRB, and IBPS, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and accessibility. The NRA’s objective is to reduce the burden on candidates by introducing a single, standardized examination for multiple government vacancies. With an emphasis on inclusivity, it ensures the establishment of exam centres in rural and remote regions, promoting equal opportunity across India. By adopting advanced digital systems, the agency enhances fairness, reliability, and efficiency in recruitment processes. Headquartered in New Delhi, the NRA symbolizes the government’s vision of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance,” and represents a significant step in strengthening the efficiency and credibility of India’s Bureaucracy.
Indian Bureaucracy Network wishes Shri Akash Jain the very best.
