Government has approved procurement of 08 nos. of Mi-17 V5 helicopters for BSF Air Wing for anti-Naxal operations, Disaster Management functions, NSG requirements and other duties. The first batch of 02 helicopters has been inducted in BSF Air Wing in April, 2015.
