Ms. Madhavi Goradia Divan presently Advocate has been appointed as Additional Solicitor General of India (ASGI) in the Supreme Court of India with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post till 30.06.2020.
Ms Divan obtained a degree in English at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, and then went on to pursue law at Pembroke College, University of Cambridge, UK. After starting her practice at the Bombay High Court, Divan moved to the Supreme Court, where she has represented two state governments – Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. She is also an accomplished author.
