ACC approves extension of 9 Additional Secretary Positions in Various Ministries

Indian Bureaucracy, New Delhi, November 14, 2024| The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), headed by Prime Minister on Thursday approved, extension of upgradation of several senior government positions across various ministries. Notably, the positions in the President’s Secretariat, Cabinet Secretariat, and the Ministry of Coal are among those that will continue to benefit from the upgraded level.

  1. Ms Roli Singh IAS (Rajasthan 1994), presently holding the upgraded position of Additional Secretary in the Department of Health & Family Welfare, a position upgraded from its original level of Joint Secretary, the position will continue to retain its Additional Secretary status until December 26, 2025.
  2. Ms Varsha Joshi IAS (AGMUT 1995), presently holding the upgraded position of Additional Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, a position upgraded from its original level of Joint Secretary, the position will continue to retain its Additional Secretary status until July 26, 2025.
  3. Shri Suman Billa IAS (KL 1996), presently holding the upgraded position of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, a position upgraded from its original level of Joint Secretary, the position will continue to retain its Additional Secretary status until December 5, 2025.
  4. Shri Manoj Kumar Dwivedi IAS (AGMUT 1997), presently holding the upgraded position of Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training, a position upgraded from its original level of Joint Secretary, the position will continue to retain its Additional Secretary status until November 18, 2025.
  5. Shri Ashish Vachhani IAS (Tamil Nadu 1997), presently holding the upgraded position of Additional Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, a position upgraded from its original level of Joint Secretary, the position will continue to retain its Additional Secretary status until November 20, 2025.
  6. Shri Rakesh Gupta IAS (Haryana 1997), presently holding the upgraded position of Additional Secretary in the President’s Secretariat, a position upgraded from its original level of Joint Secretary, the position will continue to retain its Additional Secretary status until November 18, 2025.
  7. Shri Rohit Kumar IAS (Rajasthan 1997), presently holding the upgraded position of Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat, a position upgraded from its original level of Director, the position will continue to retain its Additional Secretary status until September 24, 2025.
  8. Ms Trishaljit Sethi IPoS (1990), presently holding the upgraded position of Director General (Training) in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, a position upgraded from its original level of Director, the position will continue to retain its Additional Secretary status until September 1, 2025.
  9. Ms Vismita Tej IRS (IT 1990), presently holding the upgraded position of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Coal, a position upgraded from its original level of Joint Secretary, the position will continue to retain its Additional Secretary status until September 23, 2025.
